Job Overview

The role of Supply Chain Director involves overseeing Australian Industry Capability and supply chain activities within defence systems. This senior position requires collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to develop and maintain the supply chain strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a University Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline, with minimum 8 years prior relevant experience.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the supply chain strategy;
  • Deploy and provide guidance on governance arrangements;
  • Analyse and advise on supply chain metrics;
  • Management of AIC obligations;
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Act as a point of contact for general industry enquiries;
  • Identify opportunities to increase indigenous-owned and veteran-owned businesses in the supply chain.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience);
  • Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience;
  • Expert knowledge of Australian industry and government networks;
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Development of a resilient supply chain and ability to plan strategic supplier relationships;
  • Vendor management;
  • Supporting customer requirements and meeting deadlines.
