Job Opportunity: We are seeking an entry-level graduate or student to fill a 12-week supply chain management internship position at a leading engineering and manufacturing firm.

This internship involves implementing the company's supply chain and logistics strategy, optimizing the production chain, and managing inventory and stock for the production line. It is a great opportunity to start your career in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with developing a supply chain strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Work with senior engineers to manage planning of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics, and distribution to avoid delays and overheads
  • Conduct risk assessments for all suppliers and products and ensure alternate supply channels are in place
  • Review and evaluate inventory on a regular basis, and liaise with vendors and supply partners
What You Will Learn:
  • On-site experience with inventory management, sourcing, vendor engagement, and product evaluation
  • Negotiating and liaison skills, and working with relevant stakeholders to optimize the supply chain
  • Opportunity to get involved in radio management and MCU application experience
  • Mapping supply chains to identify opportunities and reduce supply disruption
  • Experience in the Australian supply chain industry, with opportunities to network across industries and with vendors
