Job Description

The Industry and Supply Chain Manager is a strategic leadership role that requires expertise in supply chain management, industry partnerships, and collaboration with stakeholders.

This senior-level position involves leading Australian Industry Capability and supply chain activities within Defence systems. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers to deliver outcomes and foster relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with requirements;
  • Implement supply chain governance arrangements, including supplier due diligence, performance management, relationship management, and implementation of business systems;
  • Analyze and advise on supply chain metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-effective outcomes;
  • Manage AIC obligations, specifically market testing activities;
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including Enterprise partners, suppliers, government departments, and industry groups;
  • Act as a point of contact for general industry enquiries relating to Defence life cycle management;
  • Identify opportunities to increase indigenous-owned and veteran-owned businesses in the Defence supply chain.
