About the Role
">We are seeking an experienced Electrical Services Technician to join our Engineering and Services division on stunning Hamilton Island. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing installation and commissioning, maintenance and repairs of Hamilton Island's electrical distribution network in a timely manner, ensuring a high standard of product quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical networks, including the 12-Megawatt Diesel Generation Plant;
- Test and repair airport runway lighting for smooth landings;
- Perform audits on new installations;
- Prioritise urgent repairs for guest safety and satisfaction;
- Participate in an on-call roster rotation to address out-of-hours breakdowns as necessary;
- Maintain hazardous area equipment, specifically the island's fuel systems;
- Ensure the upkeep and repair of water and sewerage plants.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Extensive experience in electrical distribution networks, SCADA and PLC systems;
- An Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trades Certificate;
- A minimum of 5 years' full-time Trade experience;
- High voltage switching and coordination experience and/or qualifications/accreditation - 22/11KV;
- A QLD open/unrestricted driver's license;
- The ability to be approved for and hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $95,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for overtime and lucrative on-call rates.
