About the Role:

  • Mentor and monitor the workshop team to ensure apprentices develop their skills and technicians work effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure field and workshop operations are cohesive.
  • Assign jobs and work areas according to employees' skills and knowledge.
  • Directly assist in repairs, inspect special tools, and recommend new tooling.
  • Advise on customer complaints, coordinate technician training, and conduct safety meetings.
  • Fulfill the Service Manager or Service Location Manager role in their absence.
  • Participate in re-conditioning used equipment and setting up new equipment.
  • Release equipment for delivery and provide performance feedback.

About You:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Service Technician.
  • Ability to lead others, familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience, Forklift license preferred.
