Field Service Technician

**Job Description Summary**: The Field Service Technician role is to support our QLD based customers involving commissioning, fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of BD PYXIS. This role will be required to support few servicing in Queensland and Canberra.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring that systems and maintenance schedules in designated area are maintained.
- Providing technical support to customers, including machine commissioning and customer training
- Support and assist with new customer installations including equipment setup and technical support for go-live.
- Plan, schedule and communicate Preventative Maintenance visits and breakdown visits to fit in with the customers’ requirements. Comply with Preventative Maintenance, service agreement and support SOP’s. Ensure there is mínimal or zero overdue Preventative Maintenance tasks by scheduling and planning assigned work
- On call remote support required. Available to work travel and work interstate as requested on short notice.
- As a BD representative, exhibit professionalism always.
- Responsible for documenting all work (accurate and up to date) carried out in relation to repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, performance, and electrical safety testing.
- Responsible for maintaining records in accordance with company guidelines.
- Working hours may vary at times due to customer demands and onsite requirements (after-hours and weekend).
- All measuring equipment calibrated prior to due by date and not used beyond to ensure accurate calibrations are carried out
**Skills and Experience**:
- Electronics/computing, Trades Certificate, engineering certificate/diploma or degree advantageous
- Ability to complete technical repairs and upgrades to electro-mechanical equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting, interpersonal skills, as well as time management
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels, internally and externally.
- Flexible and adaptable with capability and willingness to embrace change.
- Current driver’s license
- Experience within Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics related is sought after
- Understanding of computers and assigned software
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Packages
- Ability to complete electrical safety verification.
