Role Overview

The ideal candidate will lead a team of qualified butchers and process workers in the daily operations of the butchery and smallgoods production. Key responsibilities include preparation and production of quality fresh meat products, operating machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce quality fresh meat products
  • Select and prepare meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting to shape and size
  • Operate machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the Meat Department

Requirements

  • AQF Certificate III in Meat Processing (Butchery) or higher
  • At least 3 years recent and relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of using processing equipment to manufacture butchery products
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high levels of hygiene
