Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team in Paget, QLD. In this hands-on role, you'll be key to delivering accurate and timely preparation and analysis of coal and related samples.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and is passionate about delivering high-quality results for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze coal and related samples in accordance with recognized international standards.
  • Ensure accuracy, precision, and traceability of samples with timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance of preparation equipment and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Use basic CCLAS for sample booking and analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with previous and following shifts.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Coal sampling, preparation, and testing experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Good computer skills, including Excel proficiency, are beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a general mineral laboratory environment is also advantageous.
  • Ability to work on rotating shifts and meet tight deadlines.
