Ventia has been awarded a new contract by Seqwater to deliver maintenance and services across its water network. This contract involves providing services across 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations, and 26 referable dams.

About the Role
  • As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational commercial advice, manage subcontractor engagement, and engage in cost reduction and performance analysis.
  • You will oversee the reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and compliance, ensuring targets are achieved and implementing improvement strategies as needed.
  • You will lead the engagement and negotiation of subcontract agreements with suppliers, providing advice and drafting contract terms and conditions.
  • You will review and recommend commercial documents, ensuring they meet legal, commercial, and corporate standards.
  • You will deliver project-specific training to the project team, developing commercial capability within the team.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Engineering, Finance, or Project Management
  • Proven financial, cost control, and business management literacy
  • Proven track record of successful commercial negotiations and relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop excellent working relationships with multiple stakeholders and direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage with senior client personnel, management, and project delivery team members
