Job Title: Linux Enablement

We are seeking a seasoned leader to manage and guide our software engineering team in delivering OEM enablement projects for our Device Delivery Team.

  • Team Management: Recruit, motivate, mentor, and empower your team to succeed in delivering high-quality products.
  • Goal Setting: Set objectives with the team; prioritize tasks, identify and measure key performance indicators.
  • Career Growth: Maximize the results of team members and support their professional growth.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, HWE, QA, and certification management teams.
  • Escalation Handling: Monitor projects from kickoff to post-mortem and handle escalations efficiently.
  • Technical Communication: Communicate, understand, and resolve technical challenges with OEMs, ODMs, SiPs, IHVs.
  • Customer Priority: Prioritize customer requests globally.
  • Inter-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with product engineering teams (including Desktop, Foundations, Kernel, and Security).

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. A proven track record in technical roles with Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian, is required. Commitment to development and testing methodologies, and maintainable code quality, is essential. Experience with management responsibilities, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and strong English language communication skills are also required. Desirable skills include making technical decisions for a team as a tech lead, software architecture and design experience, and experience with CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, participation in open-source development projects and experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker are highly valued.
