Job Overview

The Linux Enablement Software Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of software engineers to deliver OEM enablement projects. This position requires excellent leadership, technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and strong management ability.

About the Role

This fast-paced environment demands effective time management, deep understanding of the Linux system, low-level debugging, critical thinking, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to motivate, mentor, and enable their team to succeed in delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of software engineers
  • Set clear goals with the team; prioritize tasks and identify key performance indicators
  • Mentor and support team members in their career growth and development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, QA, and certification management
  • Monitor projects from kickoff to post-mortem and address escalations
  • Prioritize customer requests globally and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Develop and implement methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Proven track record in technical roles with Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian
  • Strong commitment to development and testing methodologies, maintainable code quality, and agile principles
  • Experience in management responsibilities and team leadership
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a globally distributed team environment
  • Commitment to delivering results on schedule and meeting deadlines
  • Fluency in English language, both written and verbal
