About the Role
AGL is seeking an experienced Dual-Trade Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join our operations team at the Silver Springs Gas Storage Facility in Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and sustainable production of natural gas and LPG.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment to a high standard, optimizing operations and minimizing downtime.
- Assist with the operation of plant as required, ensuring that gas plant operations meet set production targets while meeting regulatory requirements.
- Implement the AGL Safety Management Plan (SMP) and AGL Environment Management Plan (EMP) in gas production.
- Ensure that all Health, Safety, and Environment Systems and goals are introduced and adhered to, meeting the organization's policies and standards for HSE Management.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve operational processes.
Requirements
- Licensed dual-trade Electrical & Instrumentation qualification (A-Grade Electrical license is essential). EEHA Licence and/or Type B Gas Licence advantageous, but not essential.
- Demonstrable experience working in live, complex manufacturing or a gas processing plant, with good technical knowledge of maintaining equipment in a hazardous environment.
- Proven history of working in a safe manner and the ability to comply with and embrace comprehensive HS&E policies and systems. Good understanding of the safety regulatory framework.
- Experience writing Maintenance Procedure/Tasks and conducting Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA's).
