About the Role

Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Operations Technician to join our Launch Vehicle Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the final testing and integration of launch vehicle stages and the execution of launch operations at our orbital launch site in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install or modify launch vehicle power electronics and avionics
  • Install or modify instrumentation and industrial data acquisition and control systems on test stands
  • Work closely with engineers to assemble prototype products based on schematic diagrams, and accurately mark and report changes when instructions vary
  • Perform electrical manufacturing tasks such as PCB soldering, and harness builds with a high standard of quality
  • Conduct and record product tests and diagnostic activities to support the production or fault-finding process
  • Complete minor fabrication tasks for the build or installation of electrical enclosures which may require manual handling and the use of power tools
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Avionics
  • 3+ years of experience in a high reliability and quality manufacturing operating environment, ideally within the space / aerospace industry
  • Extensive knowledge of avionics and electrical systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Have a passion for advancing the commercial space industry
