Support Services Associate

The primary role of the Support Services Associate is to provide comprehensive support services to students in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify students' learning needs, skills and difficulties as they arise and work under the guidance of the relevant Individual Needs Advisor to respond to these concerns.
  • Maintain confidential weekly student notes on Microsoft Teams to monitor their progress.
  • Understand a student's identified learning difficulties and offer assistance in the classroom.
  • Liaise with Individual Needs Advisor and teaching staff to maintain a comprehensive support program and track student progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Assist students to deal with adjusted curriculum where necessary under the guidance of the classroom teacher and the Individual Needs Advisor.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and respond to different learning needs and strengths of all students in classrooms.
  • Form positive relationships with staff and students and build collaborative relationships.
  • Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Use business software such as Microsoft Office proficiently.
  • Manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
  • Communicate verbally, written and inter-personally effectively.
  • Organise time and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Work with children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Possess recognised Education support qualification (desirable).
  • Remain calm and focused under pressure.
