A Logistics Operations Coordinator is a critical role within Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd, responsible for ensuring seamless transportation operations across our network. About the Role

  • Create and manage daily load plans, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external carriers to optimize trailer movement and reduce delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of trailer arrivals, departures, and delays, providing real-time updates to key team members and external parties as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues, implement process improvements, and drive business growth.
  • Analyze data from various sources to identify trends and areas for improvement, developing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Foster strong relationships with carrier partners, negotiating rates and services to meet Amazon's needs while maintaining competitive advantage.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance Amazon's transportation operations and drive innovation.
  • Work closely with site operations teams, internal transportation field teams, and external carriers to ensure all trailers arrive and depart on time with zero defects and maintain a fluid trailer pool.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex logistics projects, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, and willingness to learn Amazon's proprietary systems.
