About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team at Cocoon SDA Care. As a Disability Support Professional for Complex Care, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with high physical needs and complex care requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about empowering people with disabilities to live their best lives. You will work closely with our participants to identify their goals and aspirations, and develop personalized support plans to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to participants with complex care needs
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert III or higher in Disability Services or 12 months experience
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Orientation module (NDIS Quality Safety & You)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Manual handling Certification
  • Administration of Medication Certification
  • Driver's Licence
  • Car Insurance
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Must be available for sleep over shifts
  • At least 1 year as a DSW in NDIS sector
  • Must have current CPR and First Aid and practice
