About the Role
  • To build consistent, positive relationships with young people with complex needs, providing active support in daily living, personal care, and emotional regulation.
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours with compassion and confidence.
  • Utilize sport and recreation as a powerful tool to engage, regulate and build trust.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to follow individualised care and behaviour support plans.
  • Promote independence and dignity in every interaction.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people affected by trauma or who have complex behaviours.
  • A trauma-informed, strengths-based approach in all support.
  • Enjoy being active and can engage participants in sports or outdoor activities.
  • Be resilient, emotionally intelligent, and reliable.
  • Hold (or be working towards) Cert III or IV in Individual Support, Youth Work, Mental Health, or similar.
  • A current First Aid/CPR certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and Driver's Licence.
