SAS Developer Position

Job Description:

Our client, a government agency, is seeking a skilled SAS Developer to support their Enterprise Data Warehouse. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain SAS programs to ensure daily data delivery processes, month-end processing, and data-related requests are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve existing reports and data interfaces using SAS
  • Convert existing SAS into high-quality SAS code
  • Develop, code, test, debug, and document SAS programs in SAS Enterprise Guide or SAS Studio
  • Utilize advanced SAS Macros and SQL to meet business requirements
  • Analyze business needs and deploy SAS programs in production
  • Act as the SAS SME

Requirements:

  • Experience in data analysis and development in SAS analytics platforms (including SAS Viya 4.0)
  • Strong expertise in SAS coding, including work with SAS Enterprise Guide/SAS Studio against clustered environments
  • Experience with usage of "proc cas" to work against CASE engine libraries
  • SAS Certified Base Programmer
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Experience in Python, R, or Java is preferred, as well as version control tools such as Gitlab CI, BitBucket, or Bamboo
