About the Role

SAS is driving innovation in data management and AI, and we're seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our team as a Sr Account Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for executing sales strategy across the full SAS portfolio in Public Sector, including software & cloud and domain solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Sell SAS software solutions to Public Sector customers, leveraging your expertise in analytics, SaaS, AI/ML, and cloud technologies.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision makers and stakeholders in Public Sector.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform your sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer advisory, executive leadership, and other sales professionals, to drive sales success.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers, ensuring a seamless and efficient sales process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Travel up to 30% (mostly domestically) to meet with customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in software sales, with a focus on Public Sector and a strong track record of success.
  • Proven ability to initiate and lead sales opportunities, with a deep understanding of technical and business concepts.
  • Growth mindset, creativity, and a value-based selling approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
