About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Management Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Asset Management Services Business Unit, you will play a vital role in implementing our City's Asset Management Strategy.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and guidance to our business units, ensuring the effective management of our infrastructure assets. You will work closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that align with our city's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Valuation and Reporting: You will be responsible for conducting thorough financial valuations of our infrastructure assets, providing accurate and timely reports to inform decision-making.
  • Data Management: You will ensure the integrity and accuracy of our asset data, maintaining records and databases to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Statutory and City Reporting: You will prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, adhering to statutory requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Six Year Capital Works Program: You will assist in developing and maintaining our annual 6-year capital works program, working closely with stakeholders to identify priorities and allocate resources effectively.
  • Asset Management Systems: You will contribute to the development and maintenance of our strategic asset management systems and processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: You must hold tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, Spatial Sciences, or another relevant field. Alternatively, you can demonstrate significant progress towards completing these qualifications.
  • Comprehensive Experience: You should have comprehensive experience in developing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting on assets, work, and/or financial inventories and datasets.
  • Accounting and Valuation Processes: You should have demonstrated experience in accounting and valuation processes and standards for infrastructure assets.
  • Maintenance of Strategic Systems: You should have demonstrated experience in maintaining strategic asset management, work management, and/or geographic information systems and datasets.
  • Local Government Legislative Requirements: You should have demonstrated experience in local government legislative, statutory, and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Industry Accreditation: You should possess industry accreditation in Strategic Asset Management, Infrastructure Planning, Asset Financial Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
