
Mental Health and Disability Research Analyst

The Coroners Prevention Unit is responsible for investigating reportable deaths where mental health issues are identified or people with a disability have died whilst in care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical, legal and health policy documents to identify potential causes of death.
- Prepare written advice to coroners outlining factors that may have contributed to the death and recommending improvements to prevent similar deaths.
To achieve this, the Mental Health and Disability Case Investigator will work closely with specialist staff to:
Identify Opportunities for Improvement
- Determine whether there were any failures or contributing factors that led to the death.
- Analyse existing data to inform recommendations for improving public health and safety.
Develop Reports and Recommendations
- Write concise reports on investigations, highlighting key findings and recommended actions.
- Prioritise and manage multiple caseloads in a proactive manner, ensuring timely completion of reports.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual with:
- Experience in mental health and/or disability research and analysis.
- A proven ability to synthesise complex concepts into actionable reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
