Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Mentoring: Provide leadership and mentoring to a small team of professionals, guiding them in their roles and responsibilities.
- Grant Policy Advice: Offer strategic advice and strategies to ensure compliance with Commonwealth Grant obligations, providing guidance to various business areas.
- Report Preparation: Prepare routine and ad hoc reports on grant matters, including non-compliance, to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
- External Representation: Participate in external forums and consultative groups to represent our department, building relationships and networks with key stakeholders.
- Grants Policy Inbox Management: Manage the Grants Policy Inbox to ensure timely and effective communication, responding to queries and resolving issues.
- Grant Administration: Oversee the administration of new and existing grants in Grant Connect and internal systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Network Building: Build and maintain networks and relationships with the Community Grants Hub, Business Grants Hub, and Department of Finance, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Extensive Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and experience in Australian Government grant practices, with a thorough understanding of related policies.
- Policy Expertise: A strong grasp of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines (CGRGs).
- Grant Administration: Proven ability to provide grant administration support in accordance with CGRGs.
- Communication Skills: Well-developed oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with experience in team leadership and mentoring.
