Job Summary

The Robotics Engineer/Co-ordinator will be responsible for designing and implementing robotic systems, providing technical assistance to the College, and developing programs and resources for students and staff. This role requires extensive experience with FIRST and VEX competitions, as well as a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems of robots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robotic systems
  • Provide technical assistance to the College
  • Develop programs and resources for students and staff
  • Stay up-to-date with technical developments in the industry
  • Improve engineering processes at the College

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems of robots
  • Five or more years' experience in FIRST and VEX competitions
  • In-depth coding knowledge in languages such as Java, Python, C, and C++
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and problem solve
  • Experience of pneumatic system integration
  • Excellent knowledge of CAD/CAM software
  • Experience in operating Lathes and CNC machines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams
