Role Summary:

The role of Nuclear Medicine Technologist involves performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging examinations and maintaining equipment through rigorous quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging examinations using nuclear medicine and PET technology
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety
  • Ensure administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Medical Radiation Technology with a specialization in Nuclear Medicine
  • Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
  • Possession of relevant licenses and certifications, including NSW EPA radioactive substance licence
  • Strong understanding of nuclear medicine procedures and experience in complex problem solving and decision making
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
