We are seeking a skilled Scientific Officer to join our Respiratory Medicine team on a part-time basis.
This role contributes to vital diagnostic services that support the health and wellbeing of our local community.
As a Scientific Officer, you will perform high-quality respiratory function testing and contribute to the operation of our Lung Function Laboratory, supporting diagnosis, monitoring and management of respiratory conditions across a wide range of patient groups.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality respiratory function testing and contribute to the operation of the Lung Function Laboratory.
- Support the diagnosis, monitoring and management of respiratory conditions across diverse patient groups.
- Collaborate with the Respiratory Medicine team to deliver accurate and timely results.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Bachelor of Science or equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with the equipment and procedures for measuring cardiopulmonary investigations as part of the Critical Care and Cardiopulmonary Research unit.
- Strong attention to detail and administrative skills.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Problem-solving ability and a commitment to excellence and continuous quality improvement.
- CRFS credential (Certified Respiratory Function Scientist) issued by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science is highly desirable but not mandatory.
