Job Overview

As a Compounding Technician, you will be responsible for the aseptic production process, manufacturing chemotherapy, antibiotics, and nutritional products for hospitals and patients. Your attention to detail, willingness to learn, and adaptability will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking and preparing raw materials
  • Aseptically compounding (mixing) sterile solutions
  • Packing of finished units for each order including final inspection of products
  • Labelling and dispatching of prepared products
  • Ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Adhering to standard operating procedures
  • Contributing to a culture of full inclusion and diversity
  • Other duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Enjoy work that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be willing to learn new skills and adapt to changing requirements
  • Work effectively within shift schedules as needed
  • Provide assistance in environments with defined procedures and protocols
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Comfort working within a cleanroom environment for most of your working day
  • Execute repetitive tasks consistently and accurately
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematics
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in pharmacy, manufacturing, or warehousing would be an advantage
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Previous manual compounding experience highly regarded
