GHD is seeking an experienced Water Engineer to join our Water Team in a dynamic and committed team of diverse water specialists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality technical outcomes, including investigation, analysis, and design tasks to support water and wastewater systems planning and design.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design of water and wastewater infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment, steady-state system hydraulic calculations, pump sizing and selection, and pipeline design.
- Project Management: Manage and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver major infrastructure projects and provide water and wastewater infrastructure-related services.
- Business Development: Contribute to winning work and market-led innovative offerings, developing business opportunities and identifying new markets.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies, and contribute to the development of our team's skills and expertise.
- Education: Relevant Civil/Mechanical Engineering degree and registration as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality technical outcomes and managing projects.
- Skills: Demonstrated skills and experience in the design of water and wastewater infrastructure, including industry-standard software packages such as Bentley WaterCAD and Hammer.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of industry standards, Australian Standards, and client standards for piping and mechanical water and wastewater design.
