About the Role

The Water Resources Engineer will assist with the development and implementation of the Integrated Water Management Strategy for Townsville and participate in the development, delivery, and reporting of the Water and Resource Recovery Capital and Operational plans.

You will provide input, problem-solving, and assistance with water treatment and network operations to support day-to-day operations, problem-solving, and water system optimization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects in water treatment plant upgrades, dams safety, and network operations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Integrated Water Management Strategy
  • Participate in the development, delivery, and reporting of the Water and Resource Recovery Capital and Operational plans

About You

We are seeking a self-motivated and developing problem-solving skills professional with a bachelor's degree in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering and experience in a water treatment or distribution-related field.

You will have effective communication skills, both oral and written, the ability to work autonomously and in a team, solid time management and organizational skills, and proven competency with the Microsoft Office suite.
