About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering a high-quality food service to our clients.

The role involves liaising between the Head Chef and Line Chefs, and possessing significant leadership experience is essential. A strong focus on ensuring a smooth and profitable kitchen operation is required.

This is a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) role, departing from Perth on rosters, and provides a unique opportunity to work in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef in delivering a high-quality food service
  • Liaise with Line Chefs and other kitchen staff
  • Ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation
  • Develop and implement menu ideas

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • 3+ years' cumulative chef experience, working in a remote village environment (FIFO or DIDO)
  • 2+ years' experience supervising and managing a team of chefs to deliver a smooth service
  • Strong experience in a bulk/batch cooking environment
  • Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate
  • Applied knowledge of HACCP principles in a bulk cooking environment
  • Ability to help create service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Able to work nightshift where required
  • Intermediate skills with regards to Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of relevant kitchen chemicals, including their application and storage
  • WA Manual C Class drivers' license
