Culinary Operations Manager

The role of Culinary Operations Manager is a key position within the organization, responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring consistently high culinary standards. This involves managing staff rosters, inventory ordering, stock control, and maintaining strict food safety compliance.

As a skilled leader, you will be responsible for mentoring and training your team to build a motivated, skilled, and cohesive crew. Your ability to drive recruitment and onboarding will also be essential in creating a strong and reliable workforce.

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience as a Head Chef, with formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience. Proven experience in electronic purchase ordering and cost management, as well as menu planning and development, is highly desirable. A current First Aid Certificate and HACCP experience are also essential.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous Head Chef experience and cooking in a similar environment
  • Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in electronic purchase ordering and cost management
  • Proven experience in planning and developing menus
  • Proven ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Ability to prep and organise ahead
  • Current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable
  • HACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygiene
  • Current driver's license
