Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of the specified post-graduate qualification
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and ability to exercise autonomous decision making in providing complex care
  • Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care in the context of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking in the planning and delivery of individualised person-centred patient care
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner, and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  • Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, families and employees in a culturally safe and respectful way, to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients
  • Demonstrated effective, excellent written and verbal communication skills and information technology skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes between Broken Hill Health Service and Wilcannia Multipurpose Service
