Job Description:

The Temporary Senior Advisor (Contracts) will undertake contract management activities to support the planning and delivery of next generation public transport service contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop next-generation public transport service contracts, including stakeholder engagement to shape commercial principles, contract frameworks, and tender documentation.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with public and private sector stakeholders, while upholding probity and confidentiality standards.
  • Evaluate proposals and tender submissions to assess impacts on service performance, customer outcomes, and value-for-money arrangements.
  • Apply strong communication skills to prepare clear and concise correspondence, briefs, presentations, and reports aligned with project priorities.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of business systems, legislative frameworks, and public transport operations to inform best-practice contract mechanisms and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and administration, including applying principles and methods related to service contracts, delivery of government objectives, and value-for-money outcomes.
  • High-level communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability to respond to shifting project priorities and service delivery needs.
