Transport Futures Specialist

Shape the public transport landscape in Queensland by taking on this pivotal role at the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

This position is part of the Commercial Partnerships, Aviation unit, where you will play a key support role in managing aviation service contracts that connect remote communities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing high-quality correspondence and business documents to facilitate contract management, procurement, and service extensions.
  • Upholding sound governance by demonstrating ethical decision-making processes and adhering to government probity requirements.
  • Contributing to large-scale procurement activities by drafting clear contractual documentation.
  • Supporting the Manager (Contract Management) and team members in ensuring all parties meet their obligations through effective service contract administration frameworks.
  • Planning and conducting consultation activities with delivery partners and stakeholders as needed, to address all aspects of service delivery related to service contracts.

You will work collaboratively with Finance, Legal Services, and Procurement stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and service contracts.

Key Requirements

  • A strong background in contract management, preferably in aviation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to analyse performance data and contribute to service improvements.
