Transport Manager Role Summary

This newly created role is based between our offices. As a Transport Manager, you will be responsible for providing performance insights, analytical reports, and recommendations to internal stakeholders to support decision-making and drive business performance in the transport space.

You will use data analytics to analyse and evaluate transport activities by site, location to location, state, and country costs. You will deliver clear and concise reporting in line with objectives and KPIs, which are easily understandable and actionable.

As a Transport Manager, you will continuously evaluate the performance of providers and implement corrective actions where necessary. You will collaborate with providers to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.

Key responsibilities include using data analytics to analyse and evaluate transport activities, selecting transport and 3PL providers based on performance and effectiveness, negotiating contracts with and managing transport and 3PL providers, and ensuring accurate monthly reporting to the executive team.

Requirements
  • Minimum 4-5 years in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or supply chain (or equivalent recognised)
  • Intermediate skills with all Microsoft products and other information systems
  • Knowledge of transport and logistics practices and legislation
  • Ability to translate complex information into simple terms
  • Understanding of financial accounting practices
  • Experience with a TMS and maximising data
  • Experience with Pronto (an advantage)
  • SOX Compliance knowledge (an advantage)
