Job Title: Category Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with suppliers to build and maintain strong relationships and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with trading terms, obligations, and merchandising requirements.
  • Support the Merchandise Manager in sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating new product ranges.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on product and category performance against targets, providing actionable insights.
  • Implement and ensure compliance of supplier-produced planograms across our retail network.
  • Provide coaching and support to store managers and their teams on merchandising techniques and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate and manage internal promotional programs, including overseeing the design and execution of promotional displays and materials.
Requirements:
  • Year 12 completion or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail management experience or similar roles.
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor store managers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring others.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously.
  • Highly Desirable: Previous space management experience.
Working Conditions:
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be able to safely lift up to 20kg.
  • Perform repetitive tasks including bending, twisting, and lifting.
  • Follow ergonomic guidelines during physical tasks.
