About the Role

The Procurement Category Analyst will be responsible for delivering high-quality business analysis, contract analysis, and reporting to the Procurement function and associated stakeholders at AGL. This role will involve developing high-quality and accurate contract analysis and documentation, extracting data from multiple sources, and providing insights and feedback to Category Managers.

This is a 12-month max-term contract, full-time position that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as experience working with SAP Ariba and contract management tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source data from multiple systems, including SAP Ariba and hard contracts, to provide insights to Procurement Category Managers.
  • Analyse and interpret contract data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain reports using data visualisation tools, such as Power BI.
  • Work with the Procurement Governance & Reporting team to align reports with existing Procurement reporting frameworks.
  • Provide analysis and insights to support various Procurement team initiatives.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Finance Systems, Procurement, Business, or Commerce.
  • 2-4 years' experience in a data analytics role, preferably with experience in providing analytical support for Procurement modelling and insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to improve process efficiency and achieve team KPIs.
  • Strong skills in the use of Excel, Power BI, and related analysis tools for effective data analysis and interpretation.
