Job Description

Our organization is seeking a skilled Sales and Territory Development Manager to lead sales growth in Queensland's broadacre regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating strategic relationships with reseller organizations, machinery dealerships, and providing in-paddock support to growers.


The role involves developing and implementing routine strategic sales calls, territory plans, and initiatives to deliver on company requirements and profit targets. Additionally, the manager will provide hands-on support to growers and dealer partners to ensure our products are supported, well understood, and effectively utilized.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three plus years of experience in an agricultural sales role, with experience in the broad-acre cropping sector (grains, pulses, etc.). They must possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, and self-driven qualities.


Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing routine strategic sales calls, territory plans, and initiatives to deliver on company growth requirements and profit targets;
  • Providing hands-on support to growers and dealer partners to ensure our products are supported, well understood, and effectively utilized;
  • Creating and building valued customer relationships through added-value activities, training, and technical knowledge;
  • Supporting sales activities within and outside the designated territory including field days, workshops, customer days, etc.;
  • Maintaining and keeping up-to-date the company CRM for the region.

The role is flexible and suitable for someone based in regional Queensland areas such as Toowoomba, Dalby, Goondiwindi or similar areas. We are not restrictive about where you are based in Queensland.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Minimum of three plus years experience in an agricultural sales role with experience in the broad-acre cropping sector (grains, pulses, etc);
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team;
  • Self-driven, thriving on autonomy and responsibility;
  • Microsoft Office and CRM Salesforce software skills for effective daily management of customer information and sales processes;
  • In-depth knowledge of broadacre farming practices, equipment, and agricultural technologies beneficial.
