
Family Support Specialist: Making a Difference

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Domestic and Family Violence Specialist. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that will provide support to women and children who have experienced domestic and family violence.
The successful candidate will work with our team to provide immediate support to those in need, conducting risk assessments, developing strong networks and referral pathways, and collecting and recording information for accountability, evaluation, and reporting purposes.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate support to women and children impacted by domestic and family violence
- Conduct risk assessments where domestic and family violence is identified
- Develop strong networks and referral pathways to support desired outcomes
- Collect and record information for the purpose of accountability, evaluation, and reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or relevant Human Services qualification
- Experience working with women, children, and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence
- Knowledge of best practice, professional standards, and relevant research in the field of domestic and family violence
- Demonstrated understanding of cultural contexts and their influence on practice approaches
- A current valid driver's license
