Disability Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, providing support and care in various community settings.

You will be working closely with clients who require assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and social engagement activities.

  • This is a casual role with flexible hours, allowing you to choose when you can work.
  • You will work in disability residential environments - SIL houses and within the community.
  • You will assist and support with personal care, daily activities, and social support engagement activities.
  • Documentation and Reporting – maintain accurate records of participants progress and care plans.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6-months (FTE) experience in supporting clients with physical/intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience working with clients who have high-intensity and complex behaviours.
  • Possess a valid Police Check (valid within the last 3 years).
  • For Youthwork: must hold or be working towards a Cert IV or higher within a relevant field.
  • Available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Current WWCC (Blue Card)/ Disability Workers Screening (Yellow Card) and NDIS Screening.
