About the Role

Seeking experienced HR professionals to join our team as Senior HR Business Partners, supporting operations in Whyalla. Reporting directly to the HR Manager and working closely with operational leadership and stakeholders.

This is a business partnering opportunity suitable for HR professionals at an Advisor, Senior Advisor, or HR Business Partner level, with or without heavy industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and foster strong relationships across operational business units
  • Provide solid HR advice and solutions at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Advise, guide, and support on employee and industrial relations issues, including investigations, issue resolution, performance management, and EA interpretation
  • Drive annual HR processes, including performance and remuneration review cycles, talent mapping, succession planning framework and processes, employee engagement survey, and workforce planning
  • Lead own projects, suitable to skills and experience
About Your Experience

High level of emotional intelligence, ability to influence and engage with individuals across all levels, and thrive in a changing and challenging environment required. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Psychology, or any other transferrable people-focused discipline.

Proven HR experience, with or without heavy industry experience. Experience working with ER and IR issues in a unionised environment. Sound knowledge and working experience with Australian employment law. Ability to influence and present complex concepts well.
