Job Title: Plant Operations Specialist

About the Role:

The Plant Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of plant and equipment. Reporting to the Processing Lead, this position is responsible for maintaining optimal plant performance by conducting regular inspections, operating heavy machinery, and contributing to daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of plant and equipment including front-end loaders, water trucks, HR dump trucks, forklifts, light vehicles, and bobcats.
  • Perform regular plant inspections and equipment checks to identify issues and maintain operational readiness.
  • Monitor plant performance using trends and measurements to support production targets and process optimization.
  • Complete daily plant reporting and accurately document operational data.
  • Collaborate effectively with processing teams and supporting departments to ensure safe and consistent operations.
  • Maintain full compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a minerals processing or heavy industrial environment.
  • Exposure to Control Room operations within a processing plant.
  • Front-End Loader operation.
  • Water Truck operation.
  • HR Dump Truck operation.
  • Light Vehicle operation.
  • Forklift, EWP, and Bobcat operation.
