About the Role

As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a vital part in maintaining our facilities, ensuring they are safe and functional for residents and staff. You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining plant, equipment, building, and services
  • Ensuring up-to-date records of all chemicals in use and compliance with safety best practices
  • Maintaining the grounds in a neat and tidy manner
  • Identifying preventative maintenance requirements and completing the necessary work and documentation

The ideal candidate will possess general handyman or maintenance skills, experience in supervision or coordination of maintenance programs, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and a current First Aid & CPR certificate. Knowledge of gardening equipment and experience in painting and ground maintenance would also be beneficial.

This role is focused on delivering exceptional maintenance services to ensure our facilities meet the highest standards. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance the resident and staff experience.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation of facilities.
  • Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of plant, equipment, and assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Ensure the grounds are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
