As a Complex Claims Examiner Property, you will handle Property and Energy Line of Business (LOB) portfolios of claims from coverage enquiry through to quantum analysis, ensuring timely and accurate resolution, and mitigating indemnity and expense exposure.
- Manage key claims handling enquiries; coverage determination and quantum analysis for complex claims.
- Ensure effective vendor and litigation management on Complex claims within a personal allocation, including demonstrable savings.
- Deliver technical training to colleagues and external contacts as appropriate.
- Adhere to best practice procedures for Property & Energy Complex claims, consistent with global best practice.
- Resolve claims in a timely, accurate, and customer-focused manner, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expenses.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers/clients regarding Energy portfolio messages.
- Exercise financial control through consistent reserve and other financial transaction discipline.
- Interpret policies accurately and consistently.
- Develop excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Improve presentation skills and file knowledge.
- Effectively manage time, prioritize workload, and manage your diary.
- Contribute effectively within a team environment and with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
- Interpret policy language accurately and consistently.
- Negotiate, mediate, arbitrate, and apply Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) skills on higher-value complex claims.
