Job Title: Research Project Coordinator

About the Role

The Research Administration Officer plays a pivotal role in facilitating research activities within the institution. This position involves providing administrative support to Chief Investigators and their teams, ensuring seamless project execution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient recruitment for various projects
  • Ensure timely submission of ethics and governance applications through online systems or other necessary procedures under the guidance of senior researchers
  • Offer professional administrative assistance and operational support
  • Promote grants and finances within the group, handling ongoing reporting and compliance requirements
  • Foster partnerships with key stakeholders, enhancing research collaborations and joint initiatives
  • Assist in finalizing grant applications, guaranteeing all requirements are satisfied and submitted correctly using online systems or other necessary procedures under the guidance of senior researchers
  • Carry out additional duties appropriate to the classification level as required
About You

To excel in this position, you must possess a combination of relevant training and experience.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • You have extensive experience in developing and working on research projects, including expertise in research protocols, experimental design, ethics submissions, and grant applications
  • You have training and experience in clinical research, including recruiting patients, conducting qualitative interviews and analysis, data collection and storage, and knowledge of regulatory legislation surrounding clinical trials and associated protocols
  • You can work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgment in resolving matters that may arise during normal daily work
  • You possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgment and prioritize workload during busy periods
