Job Overview

The Team Leader (Bike Logistics & Deliveries) plays a pivotal role in shaping our Logistics and Deliveries services. Initially, you will have the opportunity to take on various responsibilities within the team, however, as the team grows, you will transition to supervising staff, only stepping in when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional service and remain motivated.
  • Organise staffing rosters, timesheets, and performance reviews, as well as recruit and train new talent.
  • Manage team performance to meet expectations on attendance, customer satisfaction, and delivery targets.
  • Task riders effectively, ensuring all deliveries are completed to the highest standard.
  • Ensure the hub operates efficiently, maintaining high standards of health and safety.
  • Oversee the maintenance of a fleet of fully operational, clean, and well-maintained vehicles.
  • Take an active role in ensuring all equipment, assets, and plant are available and in excellent condition.
  • Collaborate with the Impact team and coaches to support youth employment program participants in meeting performance expectations.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Support the Senior Operations Manager and GM - Good Logistics in performing their duties.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in similar work environments.
  • Relevant skills and experience for a Delivery Team member, including demonstrated experience in a delivery/courier environment.
  • Physical fitness and ability to ride a cargo bike safely.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role or 2 years in an operations leadership position.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills, with the ability to keep things moving and escalate when necessary.
  • Consistent drive to improve and problem-solve.
