Coal Mine Planner

The role of a Coal Mine Planner is to develop and implement short to medium term mining strategies and mine plans. You will be responsible for delivering best practice engineering services and support to the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement mine planning strategies
- Manage haulage and dump designs
- Optimize mine scheduling using mine scheduling software
- Communicate mine plans and schedules to the production team
- Drive continuous improvement and best practices in the department
- Collaborate with the planning team to ensure seamless communication
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years post-graduate experience gained in an open cut environment
- Experience in driving best practices and continuous improvement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes
