Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cancer Care Administrator to join our team at Icon Cancer Centre Australia. As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

About the Role

  • Welcoming patients, collecting and entering personal details with empathy and professionalism.
  • Scheduling appointments efficiently to minimize wait times.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Maintaining high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality in all aspects of patient care.
  • Processing patient billing and banking transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitoring and assessing the administration care path of all patients to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Possessing basic knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
  • Possessing basic knowledge of Medicare and DVA claims to assist patients with their financial needs.
  • Supporting our WHS Officers and committees to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Modelling and promoting our vision and values to ensure a positive patient experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Basic computer skills to use Word, Excel, and other software applications.
  • Delivery of excellent client service to internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including professional development opportunities, flexible working hours, and a supportive work environment.
