We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Icon Cancer Centre Australia. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients with warmth and compassion, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive.
- Manage incoming calls, answer patient inquiries, and schedule appointments with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, processing billing and handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Collaborate with our clinical team to monitor and oversee administrative care paths, ensuring seamless transitions for patients.
- Utilize your knowledge of Medicare, DVA claims, and medical terminology to assist patients and ensure efficient communication.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of the importance of attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients, carers, and colleagues to build trust and ensure seamless communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- A basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating positive experiences for patients and their families.
