Strathfield Council is seeking a skilled Stormwater Maintenance Team Member to join our Operations department on a permanent full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of Council's stormwater network, ensuring the efficient and effective management of water resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on stormwater infrastructure, including pipes, drains, and culverts.
- Conduct inspections and repairs to ensure the integrity of the stormwater network.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and address potential issues with the stormwater system.
- Operate and maintain road sweepers and other equipment as required.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Completion of Year 10 school certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in concreting and general labouring, including formwork, concrete finishing, paving, road works, asphalting, and drainage works.
- Ability to carry out labouring work and apply multi-skilling in the workplace.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and written.
- Hold a valid MR driver's license.
- Hold a certificate for General Induction for construction work in NSW.
- Hold a Traffic control ticket.
- Demonstrate experience working with WHS requirements.
- Experience in driving and operating road sweepers (desirable).
- First Aid certificate (desirable).

- A competitive salary range of $55,455.40 to $63,135.80 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation.
