As a Travel Team Manager at Flight Centre Travel Group, you will be responsible for leading a team of travel professionals with a customer-centric mindset. Your goal will be to drive successful customer and business-related outcomes and goals, while maintaining a measured commercial and business sense.

This role requires a blend of hands-on operational and team leadership responsibilities. You will be accountable for relationship management and customer retention, growth, and profitability. You will also be responsible for fostering a collaborative and productive team culture, and assessing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions to a varying range of customer scenarios.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have extensive travel or MICE industry experience, a minimum of 3 years previous leadership experience in a customer-facing role, and drive and ambition to achieve and exceed goals. You will also need to have superior presentation and negotiation skills, excellent time management and communication skills, and the ability to encourage and support the development of team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the overall performance, growth, and development of the group travel team nationally.
  • Support continual improvement and excellence in service.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team culture.
  • Assess, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to a varying range of customer scenarios.
  • Maximise productivity of both individual Travel Managers and blended project teams through training, development, and operational support.
  • Play a lead role in driving customer partnerships, including strategic planning, MLR development, new business conversion, and incumbent business growth.
